Kelowna Shoe Repair

Rob Gibbon, Shoemaker and owner of Kelowna Shoe Repair, offers beginning shoemaking workshops in July and August at the shop in beautiful Fintry, British Columbia. Located halfway between Kelowna and Vernon, BC, the shop is within a short walk of Lake Okanagan and right next door to Fintry Provincial Park, which offers camping in a truly lovely setting from April to October.

To Register for a Course

Email us at robgibbon29@gmail.com to inquire about course availability.  All workshop enrollment is limited to four students.  A 50% deposit is required upon enrollment, payable by e-transfer.  Once the deposit has been received by Kelowna Shoe Repair, along with the workshop registration form and signed waiver, the student is considered enrolled in the workshop.  The balance is due on the first day of the workshop and can be paid through in-person credit card payment, cash, or e-transfer. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days before the beginning of the workshop.  After that, if a participant is unable to attend the workshop for which they have registered, their deposit will be applied to a future workshop offering but will not be refunded.

 

Attendance

Each workshop is Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM with an hour off for lunch and a fifteen minute break in the morning and again in the afternoon.  Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Workshop participants provide their own accommodation, travel, and meals.  There are bathroom facilities onsite, as well as a refrigerator and microwave for student use.
